I’m Isabel Ramirez. I was born in Houston, TX but raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. I moved back to Houston at fourteen and graduated in 2019 from Woodlands High school. I wanted to stay close to my family and business. So, I enrolled at St. Thomas University to pursue a marketing degree. I began my work experience at a young age helping operate my mother’s flower shop after school every day until she decided to leave me in charge as the company’s CEO. I started a rental business and was part of the industry for three years. However, after the pandemic, I decided to close my business and move to Austin. I’m currently a senior at St. Edwards, still majoring in marketing.
Aside from my professional Ambitions, I love to spend my free time with my family and friends or playing golf and padel. Being reliable and paying attention to details makes me stand out. Tenacity is one of the most valuable lessons my parents taught me at a very young age and is a big reason for my accomplishments. In addition, being a great empathizer has helped me in the marketing field by helping me better understand other people’s needs.
When I moved to Austin and had to close both companies, I quickly realized how much I enjoyed creating events. To fill in that void, I started hosting weekly dinners and found myself enjoying it as much. That’s when my passion for hosting began. I want to share the knowledge I have accumulated over the years and make you love hoasting as much as I do, providing informational blogs full of tips and guidance.
